New Schedule for Remaining 2011 Planning Board Meetings

In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act of the State of New Jersey, this is to advise that the Regular Meetings of the Planning Board for the Borough of Millstone for remainder of the year 2011 has been changed to the first Tuesday of each month, schedule as follows:

July 5
August 2
September 6
October 4
November 1
December 6

All meetings will be held in the Borough Hall, 1353 Main Street, Millstone, New Jersey and begin at 7:30 PM.

Longtime Millstone Resident “Clem” Panettiere Passes

A longtime resident of Millstone Borough, Clementine “Clem” (Berlinski) Panettiere, 102, passes. “Clem” was born in Poland and came to the United States as an infant and had resided in Finderne and Manville before settling to Millstone Borough where she lived for fifty years.

Black Bear Alert

A Black Bear was sighted in Hillsborough, near Woods Road.  Residents should take precautions such as not leaving food outside, keep pets in at night time and keep garbage cans covered.  For more information, review Avoid Attracting Bears on the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife web site.

The Millstone Borough Council has scheduled a special public meeting on January 25, 2011 at 6:30 PM in the Millstone Borough Hall, 1353 Main Street, Millstone, NJ 08844.  The purpose of said meeting will be to appoint a Tax Assessor. Other actions may be taken at this time.
